Billing and plans

Cordelle is priced per agency, never per traveler, and billing runs itself through Stripe — the Billing page in the dashboard header shows your plan, your usage, and the button that manages everything else. Here is exactly how the trial, the limits, and cancellation work.

The 30-day trial

Signing up needs no card — the card comes one step later, when you start building — and your 30 days start the day you sign up. The whole trial runs with Pro's limits — unlimited active departures, 1,000 travelers — so you are trying the real thing, not a cut-down version.

  1. Sign up and look around. (The one-click sample tour — and everything else you can build — unlocks at the next step.)
  2. To start building your own tours, open Billing, pick the plan that fits, and add a card at Stripe's secure checkout. Until a card is on file, creating new tours and departures is paused — everything else is open.
  3. Your remaining trial days carry over. Adding the card does not restart or shorten the clock, and the card is charged nothing until the 30 days end.
  4. When the trial ends, your subscription converts to the plan you picked and the first charge happens. Cancel any time before then — through the same Manage payment & cancel button — and you pay nothing.

The two plans

Every plan has every feature: the traveler app, guide mode, location sharing, the group map, the printed packet, your branding. Plans differ only on how much you run.

Companion — $99/monthPro — $199/month
Active departures Up to 10 at once Unlimited
Travelers per calendar year 250 1,000
Features All of them All of them

Changing plans later is one click on the Billing page. If you are already subscribed, the change is applied to your existing subscription with a prorated adjustment — you are never double-billed for a switch.

What the limits actually mean

A departure counts as active while its status is Draft, Published, or On tour. Marking a finished departure Complete frees its slot. If you hit Companion's cap of 10, creating an eleventh is refused with a message that says exactly that — upgrade to Pro, or complete old departures.

The traveler allowance is counted per calendar year and is a soft limit: going over never blocks anything and never cuts off a running tour. The usage meter on your Billing page shows where you stand, and we will ask you to upgrade — that is all that happens.

The enforcement rule, in one sentence: hard limits only ever stop creating something new — a tour, a departure, a traveler, an itinerary day. Reads, edits, publishing, messages, and deletes always work, and the refusal message always tells you the fix.

If a payment fails

Your Billing page shows a payment-problem notice and nothing gets locked. Update your card via Manage payment & cancel and the subscription carries on. Only if Stripe eventually gives up and cancels the subscription does the account move to the canceled state described below.

If you cancel, or the trial lapses

Nothing is deleted, and nobody on tour notices. A canceled subscription (or a trial that ended without a plan) pauses creating new things — that is the entire consequence.

The Stripe portal

The Manage payment & cancel button on the Billing page opens Stripe's customer portal — that is where your card on file, your invoices, and cancellation live. Cordelle never sees or stores your card details. For a refund or anything the portal does not cover, write to [email protected].

Who can do what: everyone on your team can see the Billing page, but only an owner can choose a plan or open the Stripe portal. Roles are explained on the Your team page.
