The part everyone else gets wrong
Offline isn't a fallback mode. It's the normal one.
Most travel apps degrade to a spinner the moment the signal drops — exactly when a traveler standing outside a closed museum needs the address of the meeting point.
Cordelle downloads the whole trip as a single versioned bundle before departure. Every screen reads from that copy. There is no screen in the traveler app that needs a network to render.

Every screen you've seen so far is the unbranded default. Pick a palette or set your own colors, upload your logo, and the same app becomes yours from the moment the join code is accepted.
Same screen, same build — only the operator's two colors changed. Text contrast is re-derived for every palette automatically, so a light brand never ships grey-on-white, and a brand color that can't carry small text is corrected until it can.

Location sharing

Sharing is off until a traveler turns it on, runs for a session they choose, and expires by itself. There is no background tracking in Cordelle and there never will be — it isn't a setting we hid, it's a thing we didn't build.
The guide sees a map of whoever is currently sharing. Anyone not sharing simply reads “Not sharing — that's their choice, and it's fine.”
An SOS ping is the one exception: a traveler can send their position once, deliberately, even with sharing switched off.
